In this article, we will explain how you can import your bookmarks, passwords, extensions, and other Chrome browser settings onto your StartMeStick using the Google Sync feature.
You will need a Google/Gmail account to do this. If you do not have one, you can create a free one here.
Note: The Google Sync feature also works with smartphones and tablets (ie. iOS, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry 10) so you can import your bookmarks, passwords, and extensions from your smartphone or tablet to your StartMeStick.

Turning on Google Sync
To link your bookmarks, passwords, and extensions to your Google/Gmail account, you will have to turn on Sync first by following the instructions below.
Open up the Chrome browser on your regular computer (where you save your bookmarks and passwords). At the top right corner, click Profile.
Click on "Turn on Sync."
If you are not already signed in to your Google/Gmail account, you will be prompted to sign in.
Click on "Link Data".
Click on "Yes, I'm in" to turn on Sync.
Your Chrome bookmarks, passwords, and extensions should now be linked to your Google/Gmail account.
Importing Your Bookmarks, Passwords, and Extensions to StartMeStick
The StartMeStick has a built-in Google Chrome browser. Follow the instructions below to import your passwords, bookmarks, and extensions onto Chrome so you can access them during your StartMeStick session.
First, boot into the StartMeStick (for detailed instructions, click here if you are on a Windows PC, click here if you are on a Mac).
In your StartMeStick session, make sure you are connected to the internet first, and then open up Chrome by clicking on it at the bottom-left of your screen.
Click on the Profile icon at the top right corner.
A menu should pop up, select "Turn On Sync".
You will be prompted to log in to your Google/Gmail account. Fill in your account information and then click on "next".
Click on "Link data'.
Click on "Yes, I'm in" to turn on Sync.
Your saved bookmarks, passwords, and extensions should now appear on your Chrome browser!
Privacy Notes
If you choose to turn on Sync during your StartMeStick session, then the StartMeStick will not and cannot prevent Google from collecting your data and attaching your browsing activity to your Gmail/Google account.
