Locating your Product Key

When you purchase SOS Online Backup from our website, you will receive 2 emails with links to follow to proceed with the activation process. Click the link in your email and you will be brought to our activation page that looks like this:

Activating SOS Online Backup

  • Enter your personal information.
  • Create a password, type the same password again to confirm.
  • You will be asked to select a Security Question and provide an answer for additional protection.
  • Enter the SOS Online Backup license key and double-left click Activate.

 

Downloading and installing SOS Online Backup

  • Double-left click Download.

 2. Install SOS Online Backup

  • The download may appear in the bottom left-hand corner of your browser.

  • Or it will appear in your Downloads folder.

  • Double-left click Setup-Home.exe to run the application.

3. Setup SOS Online Backup

  • The SOS Online Backup Setup Wizard will appear.
  • Double-left click Next.

  • Click on the box to Agree to the End User License Agreement.
  • Double-left click Next.

  • Select the destination drive for installation.

  • In most cases the C:/ drive will automatically be selected.
  • Double-left click Next.

4. Complete SOS Online Backup Installation

  • Double-left click Install.

  • Allow the Installation to complete.
  • When the Installation has completed, you will see this window:

5. Create your SOS Online Backup user account

  • You will be asked to enter your information again.
  • Your Username will be the email address you provide.
  • Create your Password.
  • Enter the same Password again to confirm.
  • Double-left click Sign Up.

6. Log in to your SOS Online Backup account

  • Enter your email address as your username.
  • Enter the Password you created in the previous window.
  • Double-left click Log In.

7. Select your SOS Online Backup account type

  • Regular account will be automatically selected.
  • Double-left click OK.

8. Configure your SOS Online Backup

  • Double-left click Configure.

  • Select which folders and files you would like to scan.
  • Double-left click Next.

  • Review and approve selected Files and Folders.
  • Double-left click Next. 

9. Customize your SOS Online Backup schedule

  • Backup at the end of this setup wizard and Backup automatically without user intervention will be automatically selected.
  • If you would like to schedule a time for Backups, you can set that up by selecting how frequently you would like to backup your computer.
  • Double-left click Next.
