StartMeStick does not have the Microsoft Office application loaded into it. Instead, you can transfer your Office files to Microsoft OneDrive or into Google Docs and access/edit them there.

Text Editing with StartMeStick
The best way to edit text documents on the StartMeStick is to use its built-in website browser, Google Chrome.
On Chrome, we recommend that you use either Google Docs or OneDrive to edit your documents.
You do not have to worry about saving the texts you type into Google Docs or OneDrive, as everything is automatically saved online - so say goodbye to accidental file losses caused by computer crashes, human error or power outages!
Transferring Documents to Google Docs
Google Docs is a free service that’s available to anyone with a Gmail account. If you have an email address with Gmail, then you can enjoy free access to Google Docs.
If you don’t have a Gmail account, you can create a free one here.
To begin, you must transfer your Office document to Google Docs. There are two ways you can do this - via Google Drive or via Email.
Method 1 - Via Google Drive
In your regular operating system, follow these steps to upload and edit Office documents in Google Drive.

Note: You only have to upload a Microsoft Office document to Google Docs once. To access a previously uploaded file, go to Google Docs, sign-in using your Gmail email address and password, then look for the name of your file. Click once on the file name to open this file.
Method 2 - Via Email
Simply send yourself an email by putting your own email address in the “To:” field of the email. Then, attach the Microsoft Office document in the email and click “send”.
If you already have a copy of this Office Document in your email, you can skip this step.
Next, boot into the StartMeStick and log into your email. Once there, download the Office Document and save it onto your StartMeStick. The document should automatically be saved into your Downloads folder.
Next, open up Chrome by clicking on the icon at the bottom left of your taskbar or by clicking on the StartMeStick icon at the bottom left, followed by the Chrome icon.
Once Chrome is up and running, log in to your Google Drive.
Follow these steps to upload and edit your Office file in Google Drive.

Sharing Documents in Google Docs
Once your document is in Google Docs, you can share the document with anyone on the internet, or restrict access to the document to specific people.
To begin sharing text documents in Google Docs, follow these steps.
Note: You can share this document with non-gmail users, but your recipients need to have a Google account in order to edit your document. To create a free Google account, click here.
Printing Documents in Google Docs
Before you print your document on Google Docs, you need to add your printer so that it can be recognized by the StartMeStick. Follow these instructions to add your printer.
Once your printer has been added, open up the Google document you’d like to print. Then, follow these steps to print your document.
Note: Depending on your browser settings, you may be asked to save the file as a PDF document first or another option to print. Click on Print and a new window should open up asking you to select your printer. If you don't see the name of your printer, you'll have to add your printer by following the instructions here.
Transferring Documents to OneDrive
OneDrive is a free service that’s available to anyone with a Microsoft account. If you have a Microsoft account, you can enjoy 5gb of cloud storage in OneDrive with your free account. If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, you can enjoy 1TB of cloud storage in OneDrive with your subscription.
If you don’t have a Microsoft account, create a free one here.
