In this article, we will explain what to do if your FixMeStick with BackMeUp notifies you that it is out of space, and cannot complete any further backups. Erasing a backup is the only way to free up space on the device. Once the device is out of space it will not be able to save any new files, you’ll receive an alert and will need to manually remove (delete) files to make space for a new BackMeUp.
1. Exit the FixMeStick by clicking the power button symbol in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
A message that says "Exiting FixMeStick" will appear, select "OK" and the computer will begin to shut down.
2. Once the computer is fully shut down. Turn the computer back on- and log in if necessary to bring you back to your Windows home screen.
3. For instructions on how to access your files in Windows, click here. Once you have accessed your files, you' can remove them from the FixMeStick with BackMeUp USB by left-clicking once on the file or folder and selecting "Delete" or dragging it into the trash.
